What if I have smelly or tickly feet?
At the start of treatment, client's feet maybe freshened using a mild cleansing fluid, if they have been on their feet all day and for reasons of hygiene.
Many people think this treatment is not for them due to their impossibly ticklish feet. Usually, reflexology does not tickle because it consists of a series of pressures.
Sometimes, negative or stale energy can produce tender places on the foot, so by accessing them, energy can be released. An experienced practitioner will adjust the pressure to avoid any unnecessary discomfort.
How many treatments will I need?
Although a single reflexology treatment is beneficial, a course of treatments is recommended in order to have a sustained effect, with intervals between sessions to allow time for improvements and continual progress to be made (e.g. 4, 6 or 8 weekly visits). After this, frequency of treatments can be spaced out gradually, depending on individual needs, some clients preferring to come on a regular basis. Monthly treatments are very popular or you may prefer an occasional ‘top up’ session.
